I really cannot explain what makes fall in Tennessee my favorite place on the planet. You would be hard pressed to pry my hands off this time of year and state. Only the progression of the calendar can do the former, and my stubbornness would be infinite on the latter. September through early December is irreplaceable in my own little worldview.

The natural beauty of this state as the leaves change is only part if the story. Fall is about new beginnings and a harvest of bountiful friendships new and old. I get excited about football and hockey, but more so the social glue it provides in bringing people together.

If there is a heaven, mine has a a cold drink, loads of friends and sports on the many televisions.
