Gift giving is fun and exciting, but gift receiving is actually a bit stressful. That probably makes me a bit of a polar opposite from most of society, and it might not even be true at times. Samantha's Christmas gifts were bought off her wish-list (as they have been for almost as long as we've been together), but I'm lousy at keeping mine up to date. I am fortunate enough to have just about everything I need, and most of what I want. At least until the next best thing rolls along.
I am wondering if it would be more practical to just save the money until I find out what every other dude got for Christmas. Then, just ask for that. It sure beats waiting around in mall traffic or agonizing over the size and features of an external harddrive for which I am trying to invent a reason for wanting.
