With the start of spring just around the corner, I decided it was time to do a bit of cleanup on my Web site. I call this theme “Cluttered” because my first idea for it came after noticing the random collection of stuff that fills the space between the front of my monitor and keyboard. I put some of it on the scanner, retrieved some other pieces from storage. It took a day or two in Photoshop in the evening to get it where I wanted it, and an hour or two of my wife’s selection of a few stock photography components.
In the middle of the design process, Samantha pointed out that my sketches looked a lot like Hypeful.com. Having not been to the site before then, I suppose we can just call the idea “trendy” and move on.
I stayed with Blueprint as a CSS framework because it made it a lot easier with precision placement of elements across browsers. I only spent a half-hour testing it in Internet Explorer 7, so you guys will have to let me know if anything is broken.

Love it!
Love the new design, man. I always wondered if you’d go for the grunge/cluttered look.
