One more thing

Here are my late-breaking predictions for the Apple “Let’s Rock” event tomorrow (September 9). I did not come up with any of the original ideas for these. They are merely a rehashing of what is already circulating around the Internet leading up to the event.

  • Skinny iPod nano – The short, chunky version lacked the appeal they were going for.
  • Expanded iPod color choices – This has gone poorly for Apple before, but it comes as no suprise that black and white are not popular with everyone.
  • iTunes 8 – No idea what new features they can pack in the venerable jukebox. I like mine plenty.
  • iPod touch refresh – My guess is that the form factor will be moved more in line with the new iPhone 3G, and they will add either GPS or a camera. The camera sounds like a better idea.
  • Beatles – How long has this one been floating out there?

Just as I am getting ready to post this, I realize that Mac Rumors already has a fairly sizable round-up on their site. I will be at work tomorrow without a good time to tune in, so I will have to sneak a peak at the live-blogs every now and then.
